3D Work

Contributions to projects in the realm of 3D

Forte is a videogame currently in production, directed by Rin Torshina, where you play as a little kid inside a pillow fort who needs to assemble a band with his toys and orchestrate a symphony… all in an effort to muffle his parents’ marriage ending argument in the background. As the game goes on, the kid has to choose between facing reality and staying in his imaginary fantasy, both having their own detriments.

In this game I am responsible for creating most of the visual element: assets, animations, environment.

Realm Wanderers: The Kingdom of Malvara

Malvara is a concept for a venue, designed by Elizaveta Ivanova, to promote socialisation and teamwork through a blend of escape room elements and a quest driven adventure. My contribution to this project was the designing of complex custom 3D assets that would contribute to the immersive environment.

Picking up the “four elements” theme in the narrative of the room’s quest, I explored the creation of procedural materials in the 3D models I produced to add some visual storytelling to the evironment, even though these materials weren’t used in the final piece.

A stop motion short directed by Kheyal Roy-Meighoo in our Masters course. In this collaborative project I was tasked with modeling character pieces to be 3D printed for animation-ready use: head pieces, upper and lower face pieces, and hands.

Due to the connective nature of these pieces, I worked closely with the director and the university’s printing department to figure out the most efficient ways to connect them with magnet placement, through trial and error and several print tests. We juggled simplicity, durability and usability, while at the same time we figured out the project’s 3D artstyle when creating the different character expressions.

100 pieces were printed for use in the animation.

This was a group project for my final undergraduate year with Flick Broadley and Oliver Wesson. My main roles were 3D modeling, and my secondary roles were texturing and animation.

Contribution reel:

This animation was a group project done for my university course, where we worked to produce an advert for the Bourne Water Dragons, a comunity of cancer survivors in Bournemouth, England. Throughout the project I assumed a variety of roles, ranging from prepoduction to modeling and animating.
